Revival has shaped faith for centuries, sparking spiritual renewal and transforming lives. From the Great Awakening in the 1730s, where preachers like Jonathan Edwards stirred hearts, to the Second Great Awakening in the early 1800s, which fueled social reform, these movements unified believers and reshaped communities.
In modern times, the Jesus Movement of the 1960s and 1970s ignited a generation, blending counterculture with fervent faith, leading thousands to Christ. The Brownsville Revival (1995–2000) in Pensacola, Florida, drew millions seeking repentance and renewal. More recently, the 2023 Asbury Revival in Kentucky captivated young people with spontaneous worship, echoing the hunger for God’s presence.
